Dana Grimes is a graduate of University of San Diego, School of Law (2007).  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2004, where she analyzed hate crimes at the Los Angeles Police Department as a UCLA research assistant.  Dana was an intern for the San Diego County District Attorney's Office in 2006.  She is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Dana has been admitted to practice law in the following courts: California Supreme Court; United States District Court, Southern District of California; and the California Superior Courts.

Dana has tried jury trials in state court and in federal court, including conspiracy to commit foreign exchange fraud, conspiracy to import a controlled substance,  contributing to the delinquincy of a minor, and murder.     She has also made hundreds of other court appearances on felonies and misdemeanors, in the San Diego Superior court Central Division, the North County and East County and South Bay divisions, and the U.S. Federal District Court for the Southern District of California.
